Bilge Cleaner recommendations

Looking for product recommendations for a bilge cleaner. New to me 2015 Campion 622 that is in great shape and quite clean but periodically I'd like to clean the bilge out. I've come across the Star Brite Super Orange Citrus cleaner. Any product suggestions and best way to use the product? Star Brite suggests adding the product with appropriate amount of water and then use the boat so it sloshes around and does its thing. Thanks https://instincts.starbrite.com/deep-dive/super-orange-citrus-bilge-cleaner/

The starbrite product says that the primary ingredients are ethanol and isopropyl alcohol - its basically a degreasing solvent (it wont address mildew that well). Light solvent will evaporate, but still don't like the idea of pumping that out into the lake/ocean, or running it through your bilge pump.

Personally I'd wait till its on land and then use a sprayer with Krud Kutter, Simple Green or Oxi Clean or even dish soap, and get in there with a long handled scrub brush. Then rinse/drain with tons of water. One mix commonly used by brewers to clean out kegs is a mix of OxiClean with a bit of TSP added.

Best thing is to know what you want to clean and adjust accordingly. If you are trying to scrub out oily residue, then you need a degreaser. Mildew/organic residue, regular soaps.

I'd avoid running any of this through the bilge pump. Just water. Always best done on the trailer - preferably in a gravel yard so it doesn't go into the storm drain

I have used Bar Keepers Friend when I first got my boat and it worked great in the bilge area.

This is what it looked like before, now it’s bright clean down to the original factory look.
