Big Q

Never fished either of the Q's before, but thinking about taking a look tomorrow. I understand people troll and jig. Is there anything special I need to know?

Do people concentrate on fishing the estuary and along the beach? Is access fairly close to the fishing grounds or do you have to run a ways? Thanks for any pointers. If I go I will report back.

Here's a couple of pics from the Big Q this year. I dubbed them, "The pink hoodie gang". :D

Stopped in at the hatchery this afternoon. The nice young lady said they counted 150 nice big chromers this morning:). There doing maintenance on the channel right now and let those ones up the river.

A co-worker of mine said he picked 2 up in 5 mins the other night. He said there were fish all over the place. If it wasn't so costly for me to go fish them I'd be there. Hoping he will take me with him one of these nights.

Another pal down that way has been doing well from the beach. Casting brass and red spoons. I don't know what they are called. But he says you can watch the fish moving up and down the shore line.
