Fished this afternoons flood tide for a quick limit of 22 and 15lbrs inshore.

Herring seemed to be what they were after, none of the other stinkys got a sniff. Puking up needlefish still twitching on the deck. Bait balls of them on the surface and spotted the first two humpback whales of the season too!

Great day out there. Looks like its gonna go to chit right quick like though...

Wife was offered a sweet gig with the gov here so it was a no brainer!

Osama, Jeff, right? What do they pay contract guides there? I grew up guiding there for different lodges before I had my own rig, Id love to go back there someday... maybe sooner than later!

Took the morning off of working on Bods new lodge and went out on a Hali mission!!! raing,snowing and blowing but the BUTT gods smiled!!
The Hali could not refuse a nice sized chunk of Tako !!(octopus).

in my experience those 60# class fish can put up a great fight !!!

We took Kronics Hali just a half mile or so off Cape Beale.
1 lb ball, spreader bar and a chunk of octopus. The bottom is pretty gear hungry out there though.
