I have an Ipad 2 WI-FI only that I am going to configure as my chartplotter. I have a garmin handheld which is accurate but the tiny screen is brutal.
Which GPS device are most of you frugal guys with non gps equipped IPads/ phones using?
The bad elf looks more user friendly and less cumbersome than the Dual XGPS150?
Please,no wise cracks about buying a GPS equipped Ipad, can't afford that extra toy.
I have talked with lots of folks and the Navionics app seems to be the one to go with.
Looking forward to having a screen I can actually see without a microscope.LOL!! So much for the old days of youth when I had eagle vision with no glasses needed.
Also will look at a waterproof case and some sort of holder.
The only problem I see is a very cluttered helm position with fish finder ,older gps and marine radio ..
Quess I need a bigger boat!! Dream on,!
