B2 Squid

Anyone using B2 Mini (3") Squids? I've read of great results using these south of the border with 11" flasher and a B2 triple glow mini. Just curious if anyone's had any luck with these.

This summer i was hitting springs on purple haze hootch down deep. I had one hootch break off and the other chewed to the point i couldnt use it. I was out so i threw down a 3 inch B2 purple haze and didnt touch anymore legal fish [xx(] Maybe bad luck but i had it down for 2 or 3 days before i retired it to the back of the box.

A couple of years back I was out with Ernie Ross on the Royal Quest - this time chasing fish for sporties rather than commercial trolling.
Had a package of those in the glow with pink glitter, and when we saw a spring puke up several squid about the same size, rigged one up and sent her down.

Long story short, that thing (Dubbed "Mr. Squidly") was THE</u> most consistent thing on the boat! Not just that trip, but for a great many that followed. It tagged a lot of good springs, the odd coho, and a good handful of halibut out on the Banks. Sweet!

Today I always carry a few along, and when the fish orient to squid, they are often DEADLY! [^]

Do you fish them just like a hootchie? Same leader lengths?
