Not new.. many FNs have been active in hatcheries for years now. The only caveat I think is necessary, is that they use the best accepted practices that 100 years of salmon culture on the Pacific coast has evolved . ( and as it continues to evolve )

Glad to see - particularly happy for someone having the eye on addressing Fraser 5-2 recovery in a meaningful way instead of chasing around implementing fishing regulations that will produce virtually no recovery benefit.

They also quietly half the chinook production at the Chilliwack hatchery

Their feed the whales initiative lasted a whopping 4 years, does this mean the SRKW fishing restrictions can be lifted too lol
