Not new.. many FNs have been active in hatcheries for years now. The only caveat I think is necessary, is that they use the best accepted practices that 100 years of salmon culture on the Pacific coast has evolved . ( and as it continues to evolve )
 
They also quietly half the chinook production at the Chilliwack hatchery

"2024: SRKW recovery initiative concluded. Release target of 2M reduced to pre-initiative level of 1M."

Their feed the whales initiative lasted a whopping 4 years, does this mean the SRKW fishing restrictions can be lifted too lol
