Atnarko River June Fishing

Has anyone ever float fished the Atnarko River (near Bella Coola) in the past? I will be passing through June 23rd and hoping to float fish for Chinook.

Curious if the timing is decent and if there’s usually a good number of fish around.

Fished it several years in a row back in the 90’s. We would drift the river from Belarko down to the big smoke hole, stopping along the way to fish different spots. It was great fishing for big springs, we would bottom bounce using cookies and yarn and one year they opened it for roe while we were there. I have no idea what shape the runs are in now, there was starting to be a lot of netting lower down in the Bella Coola river. We usually went the 2nd week of June I believe
