Hey all - we are finding it's a tough grind looking for all-inclusive resort packages to raffle off for our Consultant's Derby (something about DFO screwing with everyone...big surprise!) and wondering if any of you with connections may be willing to help out. We feel some urgency this year as we are coming to the conclusion that we will support SSE as always to meet their essential needs, but we would like to go above and beyond this year and make a donation to the San Juan Hatchery that I know are struggling, and perhaps even the Goldstream Hatchery depending on Columbia Fuels assistance with their situation. These are obviously two local hatcheries crippled that need help. We would love a nice big top prize (all inclusive for 2 for 2012 season?) once again as we find this can be a big part of our donation funds. With the Duncanby Lodge trip we raffled off two years ago, we raised $6500 alone in funds - every cent of that went to SSE.
With the bigger venue/cost savings and space for more participants, we believe we should be able to come up with a decent donation still, but we only have 2 good raffle prizes (suitable for 2nd/3rd prize). We need something big to get over the top and then we feel we will likely be closer to $15-20k in funds that we can distribute between the hatcheries in need.
