Anyone know where to fish launching out of Cowichan bay ??

New to fishing out of Cowichan bay marina. Use to fish a lot out of sooke and renfrew. Besides the obvious bluffs at pender island is there anywhere else I should be trying. I see a lot of post around the naniamo and French creek areas but not much around salt spring, crofton, Cowichan bay areas. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

I believe the bay is closed, but Sansum narrows is still open...
there is a gulf islands thread which should help with info.

Best place this time of year is Sansum Narrows,about a 10-15 min. run from the Hecate launch.Try from Burial Island
north to Bold Bluffs close to the bottom with anchovies or 3.5-4 inch spoons behind a flasher.The fishing there can be hot and cold,but when they're around it can be really good.
