Friends Just Got back and it was VERY SLOW TELEGRAPH that is, just another in the long list of poor reports this year, yikes

The reports sure don't sound good...seems worse than last year?? Sounds like the springs are not there...yet how about Coho or at least some Pinks, anyone catching any of these?? I'm heading up there in two weeks so I will be watching with interest to see any updates.

Good luck to all!!:D

heard a few pinks were caught, i think 4 the first day i was there

I thought I would bump this up and see if anything has changed. I'm heading up on Thursday for 10 days and can't wait to get out on the water again. Is the fishing still slow, anybody been there in the last week or so? Any updates?

Thanks
Rae

It has been so slow that I have been going to Hardy. ( I am one of those SHEEP that a couple of the guides refer to us as, Serengeti excluded)

I will check in with a few of the regulars that fish McNeill and area tomorrow and will post an update.

Cheers

SS,
I have followed the posts and see that you have done well up at Hardy,
I'm sure you had to work hard for your fish… some nice catches!

Thanks for checking on the fishing down that way, it's very much appreciated! No matter what we are still going and will have fun and enjoy the beautiful area.

I have been following the "sheep" posting its good for a chuckle; I agree with you I think Serengeti is very up front and has a good attitude. You can follow the guides around but that won't guarantee you fish. David is a damm good fisherman, there is a reason why he is very consistent producing fish for his clients.

Thanks, Rae.

There is a few fish around. They have been getting them off the backside of Malcome between 70-110 ft, anchovies or green/white hootchies. They are stiffed full of 4" herring. It might be better in the Islands as the fish have to come through that area sometime. I might try that area this weekend.

Yea the sheep thing is funny. David does his talking on the grounds with fish in the boat, not here on the site. Hardy is definately better than here right now. Had another great day yesterday. Will be going back again.

I will post anything new if I hear anything.

Cheers

SS,

Thanks for the update its good to hear that there are a few around. Last year we did well with Coho and pinks but the springs were tuff to find so we will work at it again this year.

Should have the boat in the water Saturday we have a 20’ Starcraft with an inboard and blue chuck wagon top. I will keep a eye out and if you are around I’ll stop by to say hi.

Good luck:D
