Any one got 400k kicking around?

If I was buying a boat that wouldn't be trailered, it would have to be glass.
You can get a hell of a glass boat for 350-400k

My choice would be>

X3 Thanks my dream boat

I still don't see the attraction to alloy. All i see is cold grey utilitarian metal and lots of sharp corners. Great if you wanna drag your boat onto a beach.

DURABILITY.
No glass to ever seperate, no transom to rot out, no stringers to rot out, easy repair if damage is done like smoking a dead head in the water. Yes to some you may sacrifice looks and ride but in the long run the durability of alloy surpasses the options. Take a look at the resale value of glass compared to alloy, that in itself tells the story.

It all comes down to what you buy and how you look after it. My 25 year old now Seasport has never had the floor or transom redone and is still solid. It sits outside year round and being a charter boat its entire life has had way more than normal use. Look after it and stay on top of maintenance and a glass boat will last a lifetime. I'm also still running 1997 Yami 2 strokes..others have re-powered 3 times in 15 years with expensive 4 strokes which are way more complicated to work on. . Most of my money has stayed in my pocket.
