Any of you Surrey guys know a used motors/parts guy on 128st?

I drive down 128th everyday on my way to work and I haven’t noticed any house that seems like it has a surplus of boat parts. There was a big old boat in the front yard of a House around 9100 block at some point. I’ll keep an eye and see if it’s still there.

are you just looking to see if he’s shady or what?

Yes. I’ll pm you his exact address

A few years ago I bought my Bigfoot from a guy right in that vicinity wonder if it's the same guy
East Indian fellow? My brother bought his motor from him and he seemed aboveboard. But...motor was advertised as a 75hp and when we got it home and ran the serial numbers it came back as a 90hp. No tag on transom clamp, he said that the clamp had been replaced. It looks new with no scratches or obvious signs of tampering. The tag for the year of manufactur is still on the other clamp. The serial number is still on the decal on the block and Yamaha Canada says definitely a 90. Originally purchased new in 2015. Couldn’t tell me where though. Motor had a 75 hp cover on it so we had no reason to doubt him. Now I see an add on Craigslist with same contact info selling a bunch of Yamaha covers. All I can think is that his yard helper may have put the wrong cover on it?

Isn't that a bonus? Paying for a 75 and getting a 90?
Lol. Yep, you’d think so. Just checking to see if maybe some fellow forum members may have dealt with him too. Maybe they
Got a different vibe than we did. Anyways, brothers mid purchase on a new pontoon boat and I’m considering buying the Yamaha from him. Will be scanned in the near future and be up for sale regardless if I buy it or not.

Lol I wonder if someone bought what they thought was a 90 but it’s only a 75

or it could be one of those things where the only difference is a computer tune and he tuned it to 75 even though the block or powerhead is for a 90

I though the same thing. Or maybe it’s something as simple as he switched out the brain box for a 75 from one of the parts motors he’s got laying around. Maybe the scan will tell us that
