Begs the question: Is this just the inevitable learned-behavior one would expect from such an intelligent animal, or, is the behavior indicative or the product of the fact that there are less fish around these days?

Killer Whales have always taken salmon from fishermen when the opportunity presented itself. Commercial guys had the problem all along. Not to say with less fish it could happen more often.

I agree Profisher...we were chucking buzz bombs for pinks at the mouth of the fraser this summer and the killers were in just chowing down on the them. Twice we horsed a couple out of the way...very cool.
