Active Tackle carries only Puget Sound Anchovy,Umpqua Anchovy both when available-and only Rhys Davis Anchovy's. They have delivery service in Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
Give them a call.

The best anchovy's on earth are Umpqua, and I have only been able to get them from Active Tackle in BC and in limited supply. If I order 3 cases I'll be lucky to get one, as the manufacture produces very few each year. I tried the Puget's last year and liked them, how ever a good friend got me onto sardines and will probably try them again this year if i can find some. Mason

The last time I fished Umpqua--which came from Active Tackle, after brining brining and more brining they were still soft, they were physically a very lean anchovy and the size was borderline small and I was annoyed that I put a trust in a product (by trying the brand name) which wasn't living up to my expectations.

I worked at a charter operation and we used bait from Puget..I was not impressed.

To each their own, but for my money, it's Rhys Davis because you get what you pay for and the consistency is 100% bang on. 5.5" and they're right on the money...even the 6"...they're always well prepared, fresh and have a great shape.

I'll fish strip over using Umpqua and Puget.

Rhys Davis puts up great product. All three of the above product's are welcome in my boat anytime. There's is only one anchovy product not welcome that would be Lethal Weapon Anchovy's. Sorry they are a no go.

I'll stick to my guns on the the products that I use. We have been using them for years and we will continue to use them. Like I mentioned though, a good friend put me onto sardines last year and they preformed awesome. If I can get them again this year, we'll be fishing them again. As for Davis product, it is a great product as well, definitely in my top three list of anchovy baits.

The only bait that I have ever found to be inconsistent more often than not was Lethal Weapon. I also heard that they are out of business and have been for over a year. Mason
