Anchoring for hali, inline flashers?

Anyone ever use a inline flasher in front of their gear when anchoring for halis? I've had good success adding some flash/noise to my gear but never tried anything this big. Just curious what you've tried. Here are the ones I'm thinking of: http://www.gibbsdelta.com/inline-flasher

Certain well known guides in the Victoria area use the smallest paddle style flasher attached @ one end only.

I often add jumbo spin 'n glows to my Hali leader - not sure if it increases catch rate, but certainly doesn't hurt it. Its worth a shot.

I have used the mini's.. It worked on the banks when the current was moving.

I made a daisy chain of spin n glows w the smallest Kone zone at the end. I thot it helped until something decided it needed to eat it more than I needed it for an attractor - ha

I've put spin n glows in line and have also added colorado blades in line as well as throwing an old spoon onto my spreader bar to clank around in the current and have had good success. I've also almost always done better on anchor when the current is moving. Slack just hasn't been good to me on anchor. Anyone else seen the same thing? That 45 minutes or so when it's dead calm with no current has been a total bust for the past few years. Just curious of you guys have had the same results.

I agree with you on this,Kramer.Don't seem to get much on anchor with bait/spreader bar setup when it's totally slack
tide.Seem to get more 1 hr. to either side of it.On the other hand,if I'm using a jig,I seem to get more strikes right at
slack tide.Just from my experience anyways.

Follow up to this, fished it this past weekend with a Big Al's and fairly short leader to see if they would shy away. No issues with attracting them in. 5 fish in the boat and a couple that didn't stick so I'll have to agree with Poppa, not sure if it made the difference but it sure didn't hurt. Fished to the east of Oak Bay towards middle bank and had a good go at it. Sunday was pretty durn nice out there.
