No fishery yet :(latest counter tallies are 12000 Sproat falls ~~ 2000 Stamp falls~~~ with the Argent 1 test boat out next week for some inlet stats~~ Stay Tuned
Good fishery in the outer inlet as of right NOW for hoes and Smileys

I wonder how many the first nations pulled in, they were in the river yesterday netting. Must have been 12 or more boats. I explained it to my two boys (8 & 9) and when they asked "can we do that?" I said no. Then they asked why.
I hate when kids ask the hard questions.

Can someone point me where the close lines are?

Never mind, its just closed everywhere inc offshore...

I was talking to DFO today... They have a meeting next thurs (july 05) with the results from the test fishery and will make a decision about a rec opening. Expect a decision by friday (july 06) am.

ANyone have any information on how many are in the Stamp River system right now? Thanks[8D]

The test fishery in the Fraser is tough this year due to seals. They are ripping the sockeye out of the nets so they can't set the nets for very long.

I would suggest they let the sockeye pass and switch to a 22 inch mesh and maybe we'd solve our seal problem. ;)

Damn. Now that would be a good idea. Get a Seal count! Even though everyone knows theres to damn many seals in the first placee, theres no net big enough. Hopefully the Stamp still gets enough sockeye up the river to get a good spawning number anyway.
Tight lines

Latest stats [:I] from DFO web site

DFO Argent 1 test boat net fished two days JUNE 25 th & 26 th with 12 sets for a TOTAL catch Of " 55 " Sox from Chup pint to Boy Scout [xx(] NOT good news:( best set was 16 @ Ten mile.

So sad for the future of that run. The price is now 15$ per fish in P.A.

You are correct,f-14.If it seems a drastic measure to some then I encourage them to look at Brentwood bay.My father dragged many springs out of there in the 70's.After years of heavy pressure from commercial, sport and native fisheries the inlet in 30 years has turned into a barren body of water.
It would be a shame to let another body of water suffer the same fate.Anywhere:(

Test fishing report..It would not let me link it, so I have tried to copy and paste.
