Alberni sockeye fishery ?

Maybe I'm jumping the gun here but I was wondering if anybody has any inside info on whether or not there is going to be a sockeye fishery this year in the Alberni Canal?
I didn't make it over there last year and it sounded like it turned out to be a pretty good year for sockeye.
I'm planning to be over there mid to late June possibly early July. If there is no sockeye openings I'm thinking it would be better to find some accomodation down in the Bamfield area for that time of year. Otherwise I would book at China Creek and fish for sockeye with the occasional run down the inlet.

Most likely a fishery, the forecast is prob going to be as high as last year, or higher.

Numbers will be out later this month, going to the SFAC meeting at Clutesi Haven Marina in Port Alberni on March 24th and we should get the salmon forecast at that time.

Yep, seauns right, prob be between 500-600k, which should provide lot's of fish for FN and rec, and a little commercial too.
