trophy xl tcs6105mlc medium/light casting rod and Abu Garcia Ambassador reel 6501c3 made in Sweden. Friend gave it to me used, with a broken tip, which I replaced and I never had the chance to use it. Will need new line. $195 open to offers, or trade for great brand name small and light reel or rod reel setup for my son to beach and river cast with.
Is this overpriced or just need to move it in September? Feedback would be appreciated! I have a bunch of old rods and reels from my dad and my Facebook marketplace habit so I need to start making room.
I don't think your price is too high,I just bought a Takota level wind today that was $400 w/line. I plan on jigging salmon with it. I should have looked at yours first.

All good; I'm a firm believer that all press and comments are beneficial. Putting another reel on my radar is nothing but good for my wallet and marriage
Made in Sweden, and left hand reel, a guy who came to buy it said the reel wasn't the size he thought for bottom fishing but was impressed it was actually one of the ones made in Sweden. I might just keep her for casting for coho in Tofino from the beach.
Ambassadeurs have been my river fishing and jigging reels for a while now. I think of them as the least expensive of the quality level winds. They have metal parts where the cheapies have plastic, yet the compact form factor makes them light enough for extended casting and jigging sessions. They've been on multi day steelhead drift trips, handled a 50 lb hali out of Winter Harbour, and catch lings and springs on the jig when I'm at the sunshine coast cabin. The bang for the buck aspect improves even more when you move them between different rods for different aapplications.
The design hasn't changed in years, so there is lots of experience out there in the service/repair world, and parts are widely available. Not that I've needed anything, they've been very reliable with just annual lubrication. The 6500 size in the C3 or C4 models handles the full range of BC saltwater fish, especially now that we can't target large hali. The C4 has faster gearing and a thumb bar drag release; I've come to prefer it, for feel as much as anything. A second was purchased and the C3 stays on board as a spare. Load them with Depth Hunter braid and you're ready for it all.
I still have a pair of 6600CB Ambassadeurs made in Sweden that I used for many years for trolling in deeper lakes. You have repeatability of depth simply by counting tiers of line you let out. Incredibly smooth and reliable reels.
