A pile of Plugs!

Those are very cool. I picked up two of the white ones with the pink stripes a while ago to pull behind my row boat. I'm going to give them a try as soon as the springs come up off the bottom a bit. Do they have larger line holes through them? I was trying to figure out what type the two that I have are. I was thinking maybe silver horde. Looks like a swivel would almost slip through the line hole on mine.

Those look like lyman plugs to me? If they are they are made for slow trolling 3.5mph and less. We use them lots in lakes in the interior. They were made in kelowna.

First one I'd put out would be White w/Pink stripe then the fat Green/White one.

Yup.....3rd and 5th down from the top on the right and the top middle. My buddy who I fish in Tofino with had a couple of old Tomics in colours very similar to that which we fished solidly for a couple of days 2 years back and they worked outstanding.

JAC,

There is a whole mix. Some say what they are, some don't. There is a bunch of Lyman, lots of Lucky Louis, and then a whole bunch that I don't know. There are only a couple Tomics, so most of these should be good for low speed trolling. I would like to try dragging some of the really chubby guys close in tight to the kelp once the big summer chinook are around this spring/summer.

If I had that collection I would fish:-

far left column........third down from top....white pearl one

second column from left........top one......

third column from left.........top one and seventh down

far right column.........third down, fifth down, sixth down and eighth down.....

I may be mistaken, but it looks like you may have one special shovel nose in that mix. Those are GOLD when wowing for chinooks.

There are many in that mix which will catch fish on this coast.

That one in the far right column at the very bottom....might be good rowed in the Tyee pool late August.....

That one in the second to far right column........4th from bottom.......looks like a shovel-nose.....could be good at Tyee Pool too....but I've never seen one with an eye-ring on top like that....almost looks like it would be rigged upside down......

also....far right column...second from bottom......looks like a shovel nose too......although it has a rather thin body design........not sure what brand that one is.....

I figured I'd add some more pics as it's hard to see.

1. 5.5" wood. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393476026.359682.jpg
2. 1.5" wood, home made looking ones. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393476160.642955.jpg
3. Some strange yet very fishy looking wood plugs. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393476405.619011.jpg
4. 3" tomic? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393476468.294946.jpg
5. Wallace Highliner 6" and 4" ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393476534.607674.jpg
6. 4" ?? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393476652.598075.jpg
7. Beauty! 6" wood ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393476688.876432.jpg
8. 5-7" all woods(correction: bottom 4 are plastic, rest in row are wood),. Most all have marble type eyes. The bottom ones I know are lucky Loui but anything past the yellow 6" I really don't know. It looks like either two different brands or at some point a metal tube for bead swivel was built in or removed from the design. Also, some have a ring at rear to hold a line. 9. 2.5" wooden Lyman's. and a witch doctor in back ground.

Too bad no shovel nose. A plastic Lucky Louie shovel nose would be worth the value of the entire lot.

Your plugs in #3 are Game Guide flatties. Be real nice if you had found some of the original boxes those game guides came in nice graphics.

As I understand it, the shovel nose have lots of action at ultra low trolling speed and are a favorite of the Tyee Pool rowers for this reason.

I understand that those with a proven pedigree of catching tyee in the pool can sell for very big dollars, hundreds.

Andrew P......of the new pictures you posted:-

2nd and 3rd pics down show shovel-nose plugs

5th pic down....both are shovel nose (Wallace)
