400 lb hali (almost)

Wow, can't imagine the adrenaline rush I'd feel pulling that up beside my boat, or just pure fear lol - Still cannot understand why we keep killing the big ones, even commercially :( The worms, they're would be a lot of em and BIG I'm sure hahahaha

Did get 220lb and 206lb 1 week apart many years ago while fishing alone, laying hog tied in a 17.6 DE wow they looked big. Yes to worms, meat is different, not the best, would never think of harming them that big today. I will have some time fishing in Dutch Harbor next year, who knows??

Not sure why a waste (PL), meat is still all eaten, just not the same quality as the chicken 30s. Times have changed for most BC rec hali fishers I am sure. Trophy grin pics are no more, the release pics are awesome I must say. Island outfitter derby pics of the over 200lb released fish were excellent. Catch above was Alaska, maybe things are different up there? Their commercial (dead) bycatch surpasses our allowable I think.
