My girlfriend is getting a rare 3 days off work later this week. Believe or not she loves to fish! We were leaning towards Thrasher/Nanaimo area, but it looks like things have cooled off. We're willing to drive, only requirement is some decent fishing. Any suggestions?[8D]

sounds liek it has slown down yes - but im sure in 3 days you will find the odd fish... hardy sounds like its picking up nice and renfrew sounds like it is starting to become fairly consistent

Tofino was great through May long weekend and I have heard through a buddy over there that things are still going pretty darn good.

Ukee still rocking and rolling as well. Heard of a handful approaching that magical 40 mark that were brought in over the weekend. And the bonus is, the fish were still tight to the beach! :D

Options Options Options! Mind you it's rather refreshing to have so many locations that are known to be producing to choose from for a change! Methinks the season is gonna be Something Else! [^]

Good Luck whatever you choose. Methinks it is rather likely you'll be gettin' into some FUN!

Cheers,
Nog - Off today myself for a few. Letcha know as it goes...

Also just back from Tofino, 7 Springs 18-25lbs, one 25lb Flattie. WeighWest has some pretty good deals right now.

Sounds like Bamfield/Ukee is the way to go. Thanks for the recommendation. Look forward to hearing your report Nog[8D]

Talked to Nog on the phone. Ukee is definitely hot!! One concern for me is it being rough seas with the girlfriend. I also read some of the other posts on the Forum on Bamfield/Poets Nook. Trying to decide what's best bet??? Any advice. I have fished both places once each in the past.

bamfield is a safer bet and sounds like its hot there now. even if its ruff it wont be bad unless you go offshore. ive been to bamfield lots of times and ive never gone offshore and always do well. sounds like you would do fine at kirby or that erea.
