Figure a new thread for members considering or have repowered this year.

I'm looking at new 150-200hp engines.

It looks like Suzuki has a 5% repower deal with 5 years of warranty. https://www.suzuki.ca/specials/#marine The 150hp mechanical seems to be the best deal.

Mercury has some deals, but they seem to be more expensive. I really like the looks of the 175 and 200hp, but lowest price I'm seeing is over 20k for for a 200hp and no one really stocks the 175hp.

The 150hp is good motor 👌. I would get it with digital gauge. Love ❤️ mine...

I went with the mechanical Yam 150s with the CL5 digital display package. Steering hydraulics are integrated inside the starboard motor. Much cleaner than my old setup.
6 year warranty.

250 Merc Verado went boom. So i think my 250. just **** the bed ,went from 4000 rpm to 0 in a heartbeat along with a load banging sound.Maid for a long ride in on the Kicker. i'm not really sure just how bad the damage is just yet , but it is a 2007 so it's getting a little long in the tooth, this has me considering repowering options . the boat is a 2725 Kingfisher , any body got any suggestions on a good option ? Maybe twins , Another verado, somthing else. Thanks in advance.

Dam that’s tough. My buddy has the 2025 Merc 250 v8 it is sure nice but only 40 hours on his so far.

If you switch to twins Suzukis I’m sure happy with my 150. the 150-200’s are all the same block. Lots of guides like them.

Alot of the 28 foot northwests here are running the 350 duo prop Zuks.I pesoanlly have one on my boat too and it has more then enough power to push my heavy hourston cruise at 4300 doing 28 to 30 mph and less then 50 ltr per hour

I had a 200hp suzuki on my last boat. Got it new from sherwood and it had the 5 year warranty. Never had an issue with it in thr 5 years I owned it. Lots of power, smooth running and easy to do maintenance on. Not sure what the price difference is between 150/175/200 but id recommend them - at the time i was considering the 200 yamaha but it was more expensive and only 3 year warranty. If you go suzuki - get the smg4 guage - it has all the info you would need and makes it easy to integrate into your mfd.

Good luck in your search

Can you say Merc Seapro 225 DTS. Get all that torque and then easy cruise in the mid 3000rpms. You’ll be saving nothing but money, after the initial outlay that is 😊
Not sure if they still have the 7 year warranty offer still on.
