2021 Port McNeill, Telegragh Cove Reports

I heard good things about the new brewery in Port McNeil but didn't make it in this year. We did stop in for lunch as "Pass'n Thyme" in Alert Bay and really liked that spot. Alert Bay is a pretty quiet place but seemed like half the town was in there having lunch. And it is right across the street from the smaller gov dock.

my sweethearts coworker bought a place just down from dock in Alert Bay, and I was "told" we are going to go over to Alert Bay fpr a visit when we're up there.
Hoping to hear some fishing reports before Sept long weekend

Was fishing Mitchell Bay today put in 5 hours. Got 1 19 lb chinook. Wind was a bit much to go to the other side of malcom island or into blackfish sound for my little boat. Was a good wale show as well

Back from Telegraph, fished on Sunday morning at the crack of 9am - noon (lol) after Saturdays big storm.
Only had 2 good fish on and lost both at Craycroft, then bottom bounced for halis, no luck for us. Son and his sweetheart picked up the fish this weekend with a mix of salmon, lings and halis, he challenged the storm on Saturday and headed out to his ling spot and was rewarded.
Even though i didnt keep a fish ,i stuck here this morning vacuum packing a bunch of fish! Hmmm
Made it to our friends new to them rec property looking back on Alder Bay in Alert Bay, took in the sites and museum, cool little place where everybody waves to you.
A again not a big fishing trip for us as its more a relaxing weekend of whale watching and visiting. the area didnt let us down again on that.
