Just curious i'm repowering my 16 foot double eagle how well did the 50 push your boat? If you were to do it again would you have put a different size on?

pedder bay rents 16 foot double eagles with 50 horse motors try one out yourself for an hour

The 50 hp- 4 strokes are great motor's , but you won't get much more
than about 30mph out of it on a 16' double eagle.
Considerably less when adding gear and extra bodies.

60-70hp would be a better bet.

The boat goes good from what Ive seen.... Ive always been on my boat. Like I say just put this up for my buddy. He is out in East Sooke. Call him at the number in ther first post.

craven is probably right would be cheap to run on honda 5o and those motors troll down nice.not a lotta speedon a calm day but all you need in a chop.that boat and motor setup will always get you back to your docksafewith fuel to spareea good friend has that setup and i love fishing in it with him, great for 2 people.
