12V USB charger options

Going down a rabbit hole, after somehow misplacing my old reliable Amazon basic usb 12v cigarette style charger it’s time to upgrade the usb charging on my boat.

Looking at this Chinese brand, seem to pack a lot of tech and usb-c charging. 4amps vs 4.8 for the blue seas at 2X the price.

Anything you have done to get these powered and wired up correctly? My main panel is pretty maxed out already.

Would love one that charges my MacBook Pro but that is really asking a lot, I can just charge it off a USC-C battery pack if necessary.

USB C charges at a higher power rating so I would definitely want the USB C. I just put solar on the cabin and bought cheap RV panels with 2 C and one old style USB. Charged the phone really fast and has an on off switch if that's at all desirable but it's not exactly what I would put on a boat.

As far as wiring goes, are you replacing the cigarette lighter? That would free up a power source.

I bought this a while back to replace the old cigarette lighter that was in my center console. It was affordable, and has a battery read out, which I compare with my Garmin device as the Garmin reads less sometimes.

I went Amazon Cheap, but pretty happy with this one.

USB A & C, and it shows your voltage, which is nice to see.

The QC 3.0 is important if you want your phone to charge while you are running Navionics

Thank you, I suspect you noticed I was running a Garmin by what I wrote. By fluke, it looks like I got the right one.
